Markets are busy, noisy, and full of everyday Thai, which is exactly why they’re such a great place to learn. In Market Moments, we walk through a local market and let the environment do most of the teaching. You’ll hear Thai as it’s actually spoken: quick, casual, and unfiltered, the kind of Thai you don’t usually hear in lessons. You’re not expected to speak right away. Listening comes first. I help you notice patterns, catch familiar words, and understand what’s happening around you. When you feel ready, you can try small interactions or simply keep observing. This experience is about building familiarity and confidence. The goal isn’t to speak a lot, but to make real Thai feel less overwhelming and more familiar. What we’ll do - move through a local market - listen to Thai as it’s naturally spoken around us - break down what you hear into understandable pieces - try simple interactions when you feel comfortable - build confidence being in a Thai-speaking environment There’s no script and no pressure to participate in a certain way. You can engage as much or as little as feels right. Duration 1 hour Where this takes place - local markets in central Bangkok that are easy to walk through and comfortable for learning. To keep sessions smooth, locations are limited to markets accessible via: - BTS Sukhumvit Line - BTS Silom Line - MRT Blue Line The specific market will be confirmed after booking.
