Terms & Conditions

By booking or participating in any Awsyde experience, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. About Awsyde

Awsyde is a one-on-one Thai language learning experience, not a tour guide, travel service, or personal assistance service.

Sessions are designed to help participants use Thai in real-life situations. Public places such as cafés, markets, streets, or neighbourhoods are used only as a setting for language practice, not for guided tours or sightseeing.

Awsyde does not:

  • provide travel or sightseeing services

  • plan itineraries

  • act as a tour guide, translator, or personal assistant

  • offer services outside the scope of language learning

2. Sessions & Format

All Awsyde sessions are one-on-one and personalised for a single participant.

Sessions typically last around one hour, unless otherwise stated.

Each session is designed around real-life conversation and practical language use, adapted to the participant’s level, goals, and comfort.

3. Scheduling, Rescheduling & Late Arrival

 

Rescheduling

All Awsyde sessions may be rescheduled any number of times, provided that:

  • the reschedule request is made more than 24 hours before the scheduled session time, and

  • a suitable time slot is available.

A reschedule is considered confirmed only when a new date and time have been successfully selected and agreed upon.

Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the scheduled session cannot be accommodated.

Session Timing & Late Arrival

Awsyde sessions are scheduled in advance and run on a fixed schedule. Session times cannot be extended.

  • A grace period of up to 10 minutes after the scheduled start time is allowed.

  • If you arrive within 10 minutes, the session will still end at the original scheduled time.

  • Arrivals beyond 10 minutes are considered missed sessions.

Missed sessions are forfeited and non-refundable.
If you wish to continue learning after a missed session, a new booking is required.

This policy applies to both in-person and online sessions.

4. Online Sessions

Online sessions are offered only as a supporting option, not as the core of Awsyde.

They are intended for:

  • preparation before coming to Bangkok

  • easing into speaking Thai

  • short touch-ups or refreshers

Online sessions focus mainly on speaking and listening through natural conversation rather than structured materials.

Awsyde reserves the right to limit or refuse online sessions if they conflict with availability, safety, or core values.

5. Respect, Conduct & Cultural Awareness

Awsyde is built on mutual respect, safety, and trust.

Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward:

  • the instructor

  • local people

  • Thai culture, customs, and social norms

  • public and private spaces

Disrespectful, inappropriate, aggressive, discriminatory, sexual, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • rude, entitled, or demanding behaviour

  • harassment or inappropriate comments

  • ignoring boundaries or instructions

  • disrespect toward Thai people, culture, or local customs

  • any behaviour that causes discomfort or safety concerns

6. Immediate Termination of Session

Awsyde reserves the absolute right to end any session immediately if behaviour is considered disrespectful, inappropriate, unsafe, or uncomfortable.

If a session is terminated:

  • the session ends immediately

  • no refund will be issued

  • no rescheduling or compensation will be provided

This applies to both in-person and online sessions.
The instructor’s decision is final.

7. Personal Safety & Boundaries

Participants must respect physical, emotional, and personal boundaries at all times.

Any behaviour that places pressure, expectation, or obligation on the instructor is unacceptable.

Awsyde is not required to tolerate, manage, or continue sessions under inappropriate circumstances.

8. Changes Initiated by Awsyde

In rare situations where Awsyde needs to cancel or is unable to proceed with a scheduled session due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be informed as soon as possible.

If this happens, you will be offered one of the following options:

  • receive a full refund, or

  • reschedule the session to a new available time

The choice is entirely yours.

Awsyde does not cancel sessions lightly and will always aim to handle changes with care, honesty, and respect for your time.

9. Booking & Payment

All bookings must be paid in advance.

By booking, participants confirm that they have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, the Refund Policy, and the Privacy Policy.

10. Public Spaces & Expenses

When sessions take place in public or private venues:

  • participants must follow local rules and customs

  • Awsyde is not responsible for third-party policies, closures, or disruptions

Personal expenses such as food, drinks, transport, or entry fees are not included, unless stated otherwise.

11. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service

Awsyde reserves the right to:

  • refuse bookings

  • decline future sessions

  • discontinue services

at any time, without obligation to provide explanation, if necessary to protect safety, respect, or alignment with Awsyde’s values.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By booking an Awsyde experience, you confirm that you:

  • have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • agree to behave respectfully and responsibly

  • understand that Awsyde operates within Thai cultural norms

  • accept that violations may result in immediate termination without refund

By booking, you also acknowledge that session times are fixed and that late arrival may result in forfeiture of the session without refund.
